Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated 23 July 2026
This is a working version published ahead of launch and is being reviewed with legal counsel. It reflects how Medlitics is designed to handle data; the final, binding version will be posted here.
These terms govern your use of the Medlitics platform. By using Medlitics, you agree to them. If you are using Medlitics on behalf of an organisation, you agree to them on its behalf.
What Medlitics is — and is not
Medlitics supports the management of chronic conditions by connecting patients, practitioners, hospitals and insurers around a shared stream of health data. It is important to understand its boundaries:
- Medlitics supports clinical care; it does not replace it. It is not a substitute for professional medical judgement.
- Meddy provides general, non-diagnostic guidance only. It does not diagnose or prescribe, and every clinical decision remains with a verified practitioner.
- Medlitics is not an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency service immediately.
- Medlitics integrates with, and does not replace, existing electronic health record systems.
- Medlitics does not take custody of insurance funds; payments and claims settle through partners.
Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. Practitioners must complete verification before accessing any patient record, and may only serve patients within the jurisdictions they are licensed for.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Access data you have no relationship or authorisation to access.
- Misrepresent your identity, role or credentials.
- Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to breach the service.
- Use the platform for anything unlawful or clinically unsafe.
Payments, subscriptions and insurance
Some features are paid, and certain community features require a subscription. Insurance products are offered by partner insurers; policies, claims and coverage are governed by the insurer's own terms. Amounts are shown and processed in your local currency.
Availability
We work to keep Medlitics available and reliable, including on intermittent connections, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Offline actions are queued and synced when a connection returns.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Medlitics is provided “as is”. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Medlitics is not liable for clinical decisions, which rest with practitioners, or for the acts of partner insurers or health providers.
Changes
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
